I shoot editorial quality interiors photography for a wide range of clients, and I bring a warm, laid-back atmosphere to my images that makes spaces feel beautiful, inviting and real.
Who do you work with?

I also photograph hospitality interiors for hotels, restaurants and bars, and holiday cottage and Airbnb accommodation. What types of interior spaces do you photograph?
I cover the full range of residential and commercial interiors. On the residential side that includes luxury homes, family houses, show homes, new build developments, extensions and renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces. For commercial clients I photograph hotel rooms and suites, restaurant and bar interiors, office spaces and retail environments. I also photograph luxury student accommodation across Yorkshire, the North of England and beyond.
How do you approach lighting for interior photography?
Lighting is one of the most important aspects of interiors photography and something I think carefully about for every shoot. Good natural light is wonderful when it's available, but a room might only have beautiful natural light at a very specific time of day or season, and I need to produce great images of many different spaces over the course of a single shoot day. That's why I bring extensive lighting knowledge and a full toolkit to every job. Whether that means working with natural light, introducing flash, blending exposures or a combination of all three, I'll always find the approach that gives the best result for each individual space.
How important is pre-shoot research and planning?
It's something I consider essential. Before every shoot I research the property, check its orientation on the map to understand how light will fall throughout the day, and review any plans or reference material the client can share. I find this preparation makes the shoot day run much more smoothly, helps me identify any potential challenges in advance, and means I can make the most of every hour on site. The more I know about a project beforehand, the more effectively I can do my job.
How do you approach styling for an interiors shoot?
Styling plays a crucial role in setting the mood and giving spaces that final lift that elevates them above the ordinary. I aim for styling that feels natural and effortless rather than overly staged. The right approach varies depending on the client and the intended use of the images. Magazine shoots and holiday accommodation tend to call for more involved styling to create atmosphere, while photographs for architects usually require a cleaner, simpler look. I'll guide the styling throughout the shoot and have a keen eye for the small adjustments that make a real difference to each composition.
Can you work with challenging rooms and difficult light?
Yes. Dealing with challenging spaces is part of the job. North-facing rooms, low ceilings, awkward layouts and difficult light conditions are all things I encounter regularly and have the experience and equipment to handle well. Having a large toolkit means I can almost always find a way to make a space look its very best, whatever the conditions on the day.
What areas do you cover?
I'm based in York and regularly work across Yorkshire, including in York, Leeds, Harrogate, Malton, Sheffield, Hull and Doncaster. I also travel further afield and have photographed projects in Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool and beyond. If you're outside Yorkshire, please do still get in touch.
How long does an interiors photoshoot take?
It depends on the size of the property and the number of spaces to be covered. A focused shoot on a kitchen or a single room might take half a day, while a full residential or commercial shoot across multiple spaces would typically take a full day. For larger projects I'll give you a clear estimate once I understand the brief.
When will I receive the finished images?
Fully edited, high-resolution images are typically delivered within 1 to 2 weeks via a private online gallery. If you have a deadline, expedited turnaround is available, so just let me know at the time of booking and I'll do my best to accommodate you. You'll receive web-optimised files for digital use alongside full-resolution versions for print and magazine submissions.
Can the images be submitted to magazines and design publications?
Yes. I produce editorial quality images that meet the standards expected by national interiors magazines, and my work has been published in titles including Ideal Home, Your Home, Living North and Yorkshire Living. If you have a specific publication or submission deadline in mind, please mention it when you get in touch so we can plan accordingly.
How much does interiors photography cost?
Pricing depends on the size and scope of the project, the number of spaces to be covered and the location. I'd rather give you an accurate quote based on your specific needs, so please get in touch and I'll put a proposal together for you.
How do I book an interiors photoshoot?
Head to my contact page or drop me an email. I'll have a conversation about the project, your goals and the best approach. I'm also happy to discuss the shoot in detail beforehand, and for larger projects I can visit the property in advance to plan everything properly.
